Why hands on your dog matters

The case for five quiet minutes

Doga is not exercise and it will not manage a dog’s weight. What it does is put your hands on your dog’s body every day, which is how you notice a change months before anyone else would.

59%Of dogs were assessed by veterinarians as overweight or having obesity in the APOP prevalence survey.
36%Of owners considered their dog’s body condition normal when it was actually scored overweight to obese. The gap is perception, not care.
FreezingThe most misread signal in every doga photo online. A still dog with a stiff body and a turned head is asking you to stop.
She votesThe practice rests on one rule. She can leave at any time, and leaving is never corrected.

Sources: Association for Pet Obesity Prevention, 2022 U.S. Pet Obesity Prevalence Survey, veterinary assessed. Educational information only, not veterinary advice. Check with your veterinarian before starting any physical practice with a senior, pregnant, or injured dog. Never lift, fold or place a dog into a position.

A dog who is allowed to leave is a dog who comes back. That is the entire method.
On the channel

Watch the doga episodes

These are the two most watched videos on the channel, and they are both doga. More on YouTube.

Season One

The Episodes

Watch the series on YouTube and Instagram.

Episode 1

Stretch, breathe, soften, stay

The four things doga is actually built on, and why the last one is the hardest for both of you.

Episode 2

It is more than training

What changes in a dog when the session is about being together rather than getting something right.

Episode 3

Your first session at home

No studio, no props, no experience. Three poses, a mat, and a dog who is allowed to leave whenever she likes.

Episode 4

Guided meditation with your dog

The second class taught at camp. Mindful intention and a gentle mental journey, together.

Episode 5

The mat trick

Teaching a dog to roll and unroll your mat. The party piece, and the one people always ask about.

Three poses to start with, how long to hold them, and how to tell your dog is enjoying it rather than tolerating it. One page, free, straight to your screen.

Free, and the download is instant. I will also email you when a new episode lands, which is rarely, and you can reply STOP any time and I will take you off. I send these myself.
